"I'm constantly inspired by the world around me-the sights, the smells, the feel of everything I touch. It's all there, waiting for us if we just stop long enough to notice and enjoy it. Life can change in an instant, so I try to take those quiet moments to sit outside, to breathe, and to really look at the colors, textures, and shapes that surround me."
Pamela Couch
"My work in this show results from varied inspirations, from books I've read to my recent travels. I have a natural tendency toward abstracting forms and employing colors from nature, particularly flowers, leaves, and trees."
Jenny Shircliff
"Nature and objects are often a point of reference for personal reflection or experience. My work is a descriptive blend of memory and observation. The selected artworks represent living in China and the transition back to Louisville."
Lisa McMahan Schooling
"Although we work together on many functional pieces, we also have our own individual lifelong subject matters. Often we feel like an outsider and don’t fit in, but that is when the courage is needed the most. We believe we can find that courage in nature which will ultimately feed our soul and make us complete as a human."
