JENNIFER SHIRCLIFF: PAINTER
Jenny Shircliff has a BFA in drawing, an MA in painting, and a PhD in art history. While her earlier work was largely figurative and naturalistic, she now turns toward abstraction.
Her current work relies heavily on the influences from her art history pursuits. She has approached her newest work in three ways: reshaping parts of her past work, abstracting images from nature, and experimenting with formal elements in nonrepresentational work.
