About the artist...

Edd Johannemann choreographs light to create sculptures of kaleidoscopic color and motion. His work is frequently philosophical, exploring the boundaries of faith, beliefs, values, facts and assumptions. Edd works with both stained glass and kiln formed glass. He frequently combines both forms of glass work in his sculptures. Additionally, Edd's artwork often incorporates his love for photography, drawing, painting and woodworking.

Edd is a member of the Kentucky Arts Council’s adjudicated Kentucky Crafted Program. In 2022 he was awarded an Emerging Artist Grant by the State of Kentucky, and in 2021 was recognized at Art Comes Alive as Emerging Artist of the Year. Edd was also honored to be selected to participate the ArtFields competition in both 2021 and 2023.

Edd currently works in La Grange, KY, where he lives on a lake with the love of his life and muse.
